As we bid farewell to 2023, it's time to celebrate the milestones and collaborations that have defined our journey this year!
✨ We welcomed 11 new business members including Most, Dymac Global, Zill Consulting, Wellola, Mezzino Ireland, Green Coffee Imports, MA Consulting, Propeller Recruitment and Milk Bottle Labs to our community.
✨ Throughout the year we had 51 hot desk bookings and 121 meeting space bookings.
✨ The addition of Bemvindo Vita and Gemma Groarke to our Digital & Social Programme has been a game-changer. Their dedication to providing tailored digital skills training for people aged 55+ has been nothing short of inspiring.
✨ This year, all three Digital & Social Programme's had a 70% attendance rate. We provided 306 services to people 55+ including digital skills courses/workshops/1:1s, social activities and events, with participant numbers reaching 1580.
✨ As a member of CEAI and part of The Wheel's Training Links Scheme, Dave (CEO) and Michael (board member) participated in the SHubs Network training programme delivered in partnership with the Environmental Research Institute (ERI), UCC. This programme helped us to receive bespoke sustainability training and implement our climate action plan.
✨ The Green Team — Dave, Gemma, Luca, and Michael — embarked on an impactful journey, steering our efforts towards sustainability. Their initiatives, including water conservation and reducing reliance on fossil fuels, reflect our commitment to a greener future. ✨ Becoming a TUS Learning Gate Hub was a pivotal moment, allowing us to offer a fully funded management skills certificate from our centre.
✨ Our team's dedication to fire safety standards has been unwavering, including Dave and Luca completing Brendan Kavanagh's 10-week Fire Safety Risk Assessment Programme. Brendan's guidance and expertise has supported us in raising fire safety standards at the centre, ensuring a safe environment for all. Our team also completed fire safety, fire warden and fire marshal training.
✨ Being part of Art in the Hubs has had a colourful impact on a once very blank wall at our centre! This initiative in partnership with Contemporary Irish Art Society sees pieces of contemporary art placed in workspace hubs around the country that are part of the Connected Hubs network.
✨ Visiting The Mill in Drogheda, ACE Enterprise in Clondalkin, Partas in Tallaght and Spade Enterprise Centre's state-of-the-art kitchen space, as well as attending the second annual Connected Hubs Summit, reaffirmed our commitment to collaboration, learning, and fostering strong networks within our community.
As we reflect on the past year, we extend a huge thanks to our dedicated team whose hard work and passion have been the driving force behind everything we do. Here's to a fantastic 2023 and the exciting possibilities that lie ahead in 2024!
