Head to Bushy Park and immerse yourself in a scenic walk along the River Dodder. The park has GAA pitches, tennis courts, a duck pond, playground and the much-loved Bushy Park market every Saturday.

Marlay Park is an urban oasis located in Rathfarnham. The park's attractions include a charming courtyard café, serene ponds, children's playgrounds, and a network of trails that lead to stunning viewpoints over Dublin's skyline.

Take a guided tour and step back in time at Rathfarnham Castle. The origins of the castle date back to the late 16th century when it was constructed by Archbishop Adam Loftus in 1583. Loftus, a prominent figure in the political and religious landscape of the time, built the castle as a grand residence and a symbol of his power and influence. The castle's striking Tudor-style design, complete with fortified walls and a picturesque turret, exemplifies the architectural trends of the Elizabethan era.

4. Shop ‘til You Drop!

Terenure offers a diverse and charming shopping experience, with a mix of local boutiques, stores and charity shops that cater to different tastes and preferences.

For those looking for quality footwear, Cripps Footwear is a go-to destination, offering a wide selection of stylish and comfortable shoes. If you're a bargain hunter, the NCBI Charity Shop and Vincent's thrift store offer hidden gems and pre-loved treasures, all while supporting important causes. Book lovers will find solace at The Village Bookshop, a quaint store brimming with literary delights, while Shady & the Lamp offers unique and stylish lighting and home décor.
