Hosted by Terenure Enterprise Centre as part of the Dublin Festival of History, this free special event marks the launch of I Remember Terenure, a new oral history podcast project capturing the lived experiences of older members of the local community.
 
Developed by Dr Antonia Hart, Historian in Residence for the Terenure area, in collaboration with Stefano Messori and Matt Sheedy of Podcast Dublin, the project brings together audio and video recordings created with local people over 60 who have lived, worked in, or been actively involved in the Terenure community.
 
Through personal storytelling, I Remember Terenure preserves everyday memories and reflections, building a rich and lasting record of local life and identity. The podcast series will be officially launched at this event, sharing the voices and stories of participants with the wider public.
 
The event will include insights from the project team, with participants also sharing their experiences of taking part in the project. This will be followed by a short film screening of selected clips from the podcast recordings, bringing the voices of participants to life on screen and offering an intimate and engaging portrait of Terenure through the people who know it best.
