With over forty yearsof experience in fire science, safety, and investigation, Brendan brings unparalleled insight into the causes, consequences, and lessons learned from major fire tragedies.

 

Brendan’s career includes 41 years of continuous membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers, leadership roles within the Association of Irish Risk Management, and long-standing involvement with the National Standards Authority of Ireland’s Fire Safety Standards Consultative Committee. His expertise has shaped fire safety standards and practice across Ireland.

 

This engaging and thought-provoking talk honours the memory of those lost in the Stardust Fire while offering practical insights that remain vitally relevant today. Brendan’s passion for his field and commitment to public safety make this an essential event for anyone interested in community safety, remembrance, and learning lessons that can save lives.
