This 8 week course is designed to increase skills in basic computer literacy. It will provide you with the basic concepts required to produce professional business documents. You will create, edit and enhance standard business documents using Microsoft Office Word 2007. Learn Surf the Internet and use E-mail. This course is an excellent starting point for those who wish to do the ECDL course.

The aim is to introduce participants to the basics of new digital technologies. TEC together with FIT and I-Cando is offering a Digital Skills Taster Training Programme for unemployed people and those who are self employed. Eight hours of supported tuition is on offer and participants will also have access to the on-line course materials for the period of 3 months. There is no fee for this exiting course. Topics covered: Week 1 - Overview of internet and effective communications on line. Week 2 - Manage and organise your digital photos, videos and music. Week 3 - Social networking for job seekers and small businesses. Week 4 - Sharing information online, security, copyright laws and regulations.
